이민섭 Ph.D. EDGC 회장 (Vice Chairman)
이민섭 회장은 미국 샌디에이고에 위치한 다이애그노믹스사의 Founder 겸 회장으로서, 현재 이원다이애그노믹스(주)의 회장으로 재직 중입니다.
이민섭 박사는 게놈 연구, 진단 의학 및 맞춤형 의학 관련 분야의 세계적 거장으로, 바이오테크 회사, 진단 의료 회사 등 생명과학 산업 분야에서 장기간의 연구 경력을 쌓았으며, 특히 게놈학, 게놈약학, 생물정보학, 진단 개발 분야에서 전문성을 인정 받고 있습니다.
하버드 의과대학에서 박사 후 과정을 마치고 미국의 유전자분석 전문회사인 코네티컷주의 Genaissance Pharmaceutical (게놈 연구와 생물정보학에 기반을 둔 맞춤의료 바이오 제약회사)에 합류하여 고속처리 게놈서열분석, 유전체 분석작업에 참여 하였습니다. 이후 게놈 연구 및 분자진단 의료시장에 최상급의 게놈, 유전자 분석솔루션을 제공하는 Sequenom사에 합류하였고 세계 최초로 산전검사(NIPT) 사업을 시작하는데 큰 기여를 하였습니다.
그리고, 현재 재직중인 다이애그노믹스사를 2011년에 창업 하였고, 2013년 5월에는 한미합작법인인 이원다이애그노믹스(주)를 만들게 되었습니다.
이민섭 회장은 게놈학, 분자진단 의학분야에 있어서 탁월한 연구능력을 보유하고 있으며 미국을 포함한 다양한 국가의 국제 특허를 보유하고 있습니다.
